As most of you know, I founded Great Bear Wax Co. as a way to capture the memories of where I’m from. Sharing stories by the campfire, hitting the trail, and spending time in nature. Every scent we have is deeply meaningful to me.
As I look back on the past 8 years, I very fondly remember taking candles from shop to shop asking owners to buy in to this new project I had. I think about loading the car full of candles, tents, Piper pup, and myself, to make the trek from Birmingham to Joshua Tree after being invited to vend at a festival in the desert. I have dear friends in New York, Montana, California, and just about everywhere else in America because of these candles. I am unbelievably grateful for what it has provided me thus far and very humbled by all of you who have supported us since 2013.
Though running Great Bear has been the challenge and delight of my adult life, last year I started feeling ready to explore other passions. While stepping away from something you made is a very difficult decision, I found the right partners to continue the Great Bear legacy and the perfect crew to take the business to the next level.
I’m still involved with Great Bear in a consultant capacity, but I hope you get to know the new owners – The Leitners and The Houstons. I am very excited for this brand to live on with them, their families, and with you in your homes.
I sincerely hope you continue to burn bear in your home. I know I will.

I hope this review gets to as many as possible because I am sure it will save many. March 15, I got a message on Telegram inviting me to join a Crypto investment group. At first, I thought it was a harmless invitation. I joined and began to see how a specific crypto and forex trader was helping many people and even gifting out Bitcoin to his loyal followers. I was thrilled; a lot of people in the group were reporting their daily successes and how they were earning massively. I was jealous; I saw people making a lot of money, but not me. I became furious and decided to contact the group’s admin, not realizing I had fallen for their trap. That Telegram channel was a hoax, controlled by an organized team of scammers. Within 3 months of being on that platform, I had given out a whopping 11 Bitcoin in total. I was lost when I was logged out of the investment website and blocked from accessing their Telegram channel. I tried all the means I could think of at that moment, all to no avail. It went from days to weeks, and I still couldn’t get back my lost Bitcoin. I was on Medium when I came across a review about digital assets recovery companies.
